Excel to PDF

Turn Excel (.xlsx) and CSV sheets into a paginated PDF in your browser. Keeps the values, not the colours. Free, and your file is never uploaded.

Your files stay in your browser. Nothing is uploaded.

Honest limit: values are shown as plain tables. Colours, borders, column widths, merged cells, charts and pictures are not kept.

Shortcuts: Ctrl+Enter run · Ctrl+Shift+C copy result · / search (use ⌘ on Mac)

Free Online Excel to PDF

Make a PDF of the tables in an Excel workbook or a CSV file. Each sheet becomes pages of tables. Your file never leaves your device. Save an Excel (.xlsx) workbook or a CSV file as a PDF of neat tables, one sheet after another.

How to turn a spreadsheet into a PDF

Drop your .xlsx or CSV file, choose all sheets or only the first, and press Convert to PDF.

Wide sheets

Sheets with many columns are turned sideways and use a smaller text size so they fit the page width. Very wide sheets may still be hard to read; remove columns you do not need in Excel first.

Common mistakes

  • Expecting colours, charts and exact column widths: only the values are kept, in plain tables.
  • Opening an old .xls file or one with a password: save it as .xlsx without a password first.

Frequently asked questions

Is my spreadsheet uploaded?
No. The file is read and the PDF is made inside your browser.
What is kept and what is not?
The text, numbers (with their decimals and thousands separators), dates and percentages of every sheet are kept as tables. Colours, borders, column widths, merged cells, charts and pictures are not kept, and formulas show their last calculated value.
Can I use a CSV file?
Yes. Commas, semicolons and tabs between values are found automatically.
Why is my .xls file refused?
Only .xlsx and CSV can be read. Open an old .xls file, or one with a password, in Excel and save it as .xlsx first.
Are charts and colours kept?
The values and table layout are kept. Charts, pictures and some cell styling are not drawn, so check the result before you share it.
