Put a word such as DRAFT or CONFIDENTIAL, or your logo, on the pages of a PDF. Choose how faint it is, how it is turned and where it goes. Nothing is uploaded. Mark a file as Draft or Confidential, or add your logo. Choose how see-through it is, the angle and whether it repeats.
How to watermark a PDF
Drop your PDF in the box, choose text or a picture, set how it should look, and press Add watermark. Save the new file when it appears.
Tips
A see-through level of 20% to 40% is easy to read around. "Repeat across the page" makes it harder to crop out.
Common mistakes
- Picking "Behind the page" for a scanned PDF: the scan covers the watermark. Use "On top of the page".
- Opening a PDF with a password: remove the password first, the tool cannot open it.
