Free Online PDF to HTML

Make a web page from a PDF. The text becomes headings, paragraphs, lists and tables, and the pictures come along inside the same file. Your PDF never leaves your device. Make one HTML page with the headings, paragraphs, lists, tables and pictures of a PDF, ready to open in a browser or paste into a site.

How to turn a PDF into HTML

Drop your PDF, choose the pages and whether to include pictures, and press Make HTML. Open the .html file in any browser, or paste its parts into your website.

What to expect

The result is simple and clean. Headings are guessed from the text size, and lines with wide gaps become tables. Check it before you publish it.

Common mistakes

  • Expecting the web page to match the PDF design: only the content is kept, not the layout.
  • Converting a scanned PDF: it has no words, so run it through Image to Text (OCR) first.

Frequently asked questions

Is my PDF uploaded?
No. The text and pictures are read and the web page is built inside your browser.
Does the web page look like the PDF?
No. You get clean, simple HTML: headings, paragraphs, lists, tables and the pictures stored in the PDF, page after page. Fonts, colours, columns and exact positions are not kept.
Are the pictures included?
Yes, inside the same .html file, so it is one file you can send or open anywhere. Some picture types cannot be taken out of a PDF; the tool tells you how many were skipped. Switch pictures off for a smaller file.
Why does it say there is no text?
A scanned PDF is only pictures of pages. Use Image to Text (OCR) to read the words, or PDF to JPG to get the page pictures.
Does the web page keep the PDF layout?
It keeps the content and its order, not the exact positions. The page is plain and easy to style yourself.
