  • Lines with spaces at the end look equal but are different: turn on "Trim spaces".

Frequently asked questions

Which duplicate is kept?
The first one. The order of the other lines does not change unless you also choose a sort.
What is natural sorting?
It reads numbers inside text as numbers, so file2 comes before file10. A normal A to Z sort puts file10 first.
How do I make a quoted, comma-separated list?
Open More options, choose single quotes and write , in "Join lines with". A list of a, b, c becomes 'a', 'b', 'c'.
Is my list uploaded?
No. The lines are processed in your browser.
How do I use this line tools tool?
Use the interactive controls above; processing stays in your browser and the result is intended as a practical starting point for development work.
