Free MAC Address Lookup

Paste MAC addresses to see which company made the network card. The list is built into the page, so the addresses are not sent anywhere. It gives developers a quick browser-based way to solve a focused mac address lookup task before moving the result into a project.

How to use MAC Address Lookup

Put one MAC address per line (any style: colons, dashes, dots or none). Choose "Make random addresses" if you need test addresses instead.

Common mistakes

  • Pasting an IP address: a MAC address has 12 hex digits, an IP address has dots and decimal numbers.
  • Expecting a vendor for a phone with "private Wi-Fi address" turned on: it uses a random address.

Frequently asked questions

How is the vendor found?
The first three bytes of a MAC address (the OUI) are given to a company by the IEEE. The page looks the prefix up in the public IEEE list.
Why does an address show no vendor?
Phones and computers often use a random, locally administered address for privacy, and virtual machines make their own. Those have no vendor. A very new prefix may also be missing from the list.
Is the list up to date?
The date of the list is shown under the results. It is refreshed when the site is updated.
Are my addresses uploaded?
No. The list is loaded into your browser and the lookup happens there.
How do I use this mac address lookup tool?
Use the interactive controls above; processing stays in your browser and the result is intended as a practical starting point for development work.
