What if a file was already committed?
A .gitignore only affects files git does not track yet. To stop tracking a file that is already committed, run git rm --cached <file> and commit.
What do the ! lines mean?
A line starting with ! makes an exception: .vscode/* ignores the folder, and !.vscode/settings.json keeps that one file.
Is anything uploaded?
No. The file is made in your browser.
