Next steps

Done here? Use the Send to… menu on the result to carry it on to CSV to JSON, CSV to Markdown Table or CSV to SQL Insert.

Free Online CSV Viewer

Open a CSV or spreadsheet export and read it as a clean table. Sort by a column, search, hide what you do not need, check the numbers and save the result, all without uploading your file. It gives developers a quick browser-based way to solve a focused csv viewer task before moving the result into a project.

How to view a CSV file

Drop your file or paste the text. The table appears with the separator found automatically. Click a column title to sort, use the filter to find rows, and press a column's Stats button for counts, empty cells and the smallest and largest value.

Saving the result

Download CSV or JSON saves the rows you see, in the order you see them, without the hidden columns.

Common mistakes

  • A file saved by Excel in a language that uses commas for decimals often uses semicolons between columns; choose Semicolon if everything lands in one column.
  • Leading zeros in phone numbers or codes are kept as text here, but may be lost when you reopen the file in a spreadsheet.

Frequently asked questions

How big a file can I open?
Files up to 10 MB open comfortably, which is hundreds of thousands of rows. The table only draws the rows you can see, so scrolling stays smooth.
Is my file uploaded?
No. The file is read and shown by your browser. Nothing is sent to a server.
The columns look wrong. What now?
The separator is detected automatically. If it guessed wrong, pick comma, semicolon, tab or pipe in the options. Excel in some countries saves CSV files with semicolons.
Does it change my file?
No. Sorting and filtering only change what you see. Use Download to save the current view as a new CSV or JSON file.
How do I use this csv viewer tool?
Use the interactive controls above; processing stays in your browser and the result is intended as a practical starting point for development work.
