Frequently asked questions

How are values typed?

With detection on, 42 becomes a number, true and false become booleans and empty cells become null. Values with leading zeros, such as 007, stay text so codes are not damaged.

How do nested objects work?

Turn on "Nested objects from dot headers". A header address.city writes the value into {"address": {"city": …}}, and items.0 builds a list.

My columns are not split correctly

Choose the separator yourself under "More options": comma, semicolon, tab or pipe.

Is my data uploaded anywhere?

No. The conversion runs in your browser and nothing you paste or open is sent to a server.
