Free ROT13 / ROT47

ROT13 turns A into N and N back into A, so doing it twice gives the original. It is used to hide spoilers and puzzle answers. It gives developers a quick browser-based way to solve a focused rot13 / rot47 task before moving the result into a project.

How to use ROT13 / ROT47

Choose a variant and type your text. To decode, paste the rotated text and use the same variant.

Common mistakes

  • Using ROT13 to hide secrets: it offers no protection.
  • Expecting ROT13 to change digits: use ROT18 for that.
