Free Online Markdown to JSX
Paste Markdown and get a React component that renders it, for docs pages, changelogs and blog posts that live inside your app. It gives developers a quick browser-based way to solve a focused markdown to jsx task before moving the result into a project.
How to use Markdown to JSX
Paste your code in the box on the left, or open a file, then press Convert. The Markdown is turned into HTML, made safe, and then into JSX. Choose "A React component" for a ready function or "Just the JSX".
Common mistakes
- Turning sanitising off for content you did not write.
- Editing the generated JSX and the original Markdown separately: keep one as the source.
Frequently asked questions
Is this MDX?
No. The output is plain JSX made from the rendered Markdown, so it needs no extra tooling. MDX lets you mix React components inside Markdown; if you want that, keep your file as .mdx and let your build tool handle it.
Why use this instead of a Markdown library?
The content becomes static JSX with no parsing at run time, which is fast and has no extra dependency. The trade-off is that you must convert again when the Markdown changes.
Are class names added to code blocks?
Yes, as className="language-js" so a syntax highlighter in your app can pick them up.
Is my code uploaded anywhere?
No. The conversion runs in your browser and nothing you paste is sent to a server.
How do I use this markdown to jsx tool?
Use the interactive controls above; processing stays in your browser and the result is intended as a practical starting point for development work.
